Healthy Books!

I'm a bit obsessed with getting healthy.  So I tend to read a lot of health related books.  Here you'll find the books I've found useful in improving my health and managing my autoimmune disease.

When I was first diagnosed with Graves, this book helped me understand my doctors better and helped me figure out what to ask them and what to look out for.

Absolute, best smoothie book ever! I love the fact that she lists info on food, various health conditions, herbs, etc. And the recipes are fantastic!

Wonderful introduction to green smoothies! I found the information lead me into a direction I probably wouldn't have gone to on my own. I've been drinking green smoothies since February 2010 and have seen the difference in my health!

Another great book about green smoothies! I really like the amount of scientific information she adds to her pages without making the book dull. It's interesting and thought provoking about the way we typically view "greens"

One of the better books I've read on the subject of hypothyroidism. Now that I'm hypo, I refer to it a lot.

OK...he's a bit out there. But the book has value. I've done a lot of what's in here and have seen a difference.

I'm really into reading about food.  Specifically any information about foods which work well together for a maximum health benefit. This one sites a lot of research out there and helped me make some better food combinations.

My "go to" book. It talks about all the various hormones and gives simple diet suggestions.  It's the book I read first when I was diagnosed with Graves and I believe it helped me mange as well as I did back then.  I've re-read it (or sections) numerous times since.  It's, in my eyes, one of the best out there.

Anything and everything by Pollan is a must read in my view!
